The doors open later this evening at the Jim Ciccone Civic Centre, ready to offer up unique Christmas ideas and a range of arts and crafts for North Coast Residents to look over.
And if all works out for the artists and crafters involved, maybe you will even take a few things home, all for a reasonable price.
The 2014 Kaien Island Craft Fair which marks it's 39th anniversary this weekend, expands to a two day event this year. With the first opportunity to wander the lanes of the Jim Ciccone Gymnasium starting tonight at 6PM, with three hours for visitors to explore the hall and look for that just right item before organizers call it a night at 9 PM..
Tomorrow, the full day of this year's event will see the doors open at 9 AM, as the Craft Fair and 2014 Municipal election vote come together, making for a full Saturday of community activity for the Civic Centre complex.
The Craft Fair side of events carries on through the afternoon until things wrap up at 5 PM, while the election polling stations will remain open until 8 PM.
For those that might be thinking of attending Saturday's event, the City and BC Transit will be providing free transportation on election day to the polling location at the Civic Centre, making for a good opportunity for those looking to tackle both events to save some bus fare and maybe put the money towards one of the items up for purchase on the day.
