Old Timers Hockey looking for players for fall/winter season
The ice is in at the Jim and in between those wild Rampage home games and the shared ice time for Prince Rupert Minor Hockey and the Prince Rupert Figure Skating Club, the old guys are going to get their chance to dig in and go end to end (or a reasonable facsimile).
The Prince Rupert Old-timers Hockey League is now looking for players for the 2015-16 season, with Registration underway at the Jim Ciccone Civic Centre.
The league is looking for players from 35 years of age and over, last year the league featured four teams to fill rosters for.
As well, the PROHL is looking for referees and if last year was any indication, they tend to take good care of those that are inclined to pull on the striped jersey.
The First Open Ice of the Season is coming up fast, with plans to have the puck drop at 9:30 on September 15th.
You can find out more about the league from their website here.
More on local amateur hockey above the PRMHA level can be found on our Archive page here.
