Rising Stars program seeks Prince Rupert's mentors

Rising Stars, the highly acclaimed local mentorship program run through the Prince Rupert and District Chamber of Commerce is on the hunt for a new group of mentors for their 2015-16 program year.

As part of the popular program, volunteers in the community give of their time and expertise to help local students learn about business, life skills and other aspects of the commercial sector on the North Coast.

The Call for Mentors went out last month through the Chamber of Commerce Newsletter, from that information package you can download a Mentor Commitment and application form to submit your name as one of the key ingredients to the successful continuation of the program.

The Deadline to apply to be a mentor is September 18th.

As for the Rising Stars program if you know of a student at either Northwest Community College or Charles Hays Secondary that may benefit from Rising Starts, that application can be found here.

An information package for students that outlines the program can be viewed here.

The deadline for student applications is September 25th.

If you want more information about the program, contact Simone at the Chamber office at 250-624-2296
