Northwest Ski fans can hit the slopes this Friday

The Hudson Bay Mountain snow cam
offers up some good news for NW
ski fans today
Never Mind the bargains of Black Friday ... the folks in the Bulkley Valley want you to think White, as in the white powder found on the slopes at Hudson Bay Mountain as the 2016 ski season prepares to go into motion.

The temperatures have taken a decidedly cooler turn and that's nothing but good news for those that like to spend their time on the slopes of the Northwest.  And for ski fans around the region, the road takes you to Smithers this weekend and the opening of the Ski Smithers season.

The evidence from a pair of snow cams hosted at Hudson Bay Mountain shows that the weather Gods have been cooperating with the BulkleyValley ski resort, with Ski Smithers announcing last week that Friday is Opening Day for 2016.

A little closer to home, Shames Mountain is flipping the calendar to December and a hopeful launch to the local ski season on December 3rd and 4th, weather permitting.
