RCMP continue investigation into Suspicious occurrence at Rupert Square Parking lot

The Prince Rupert detachment of the RCMP is asking the assistance of the public in a case file from November 2nd, as they continue their investigation into events in the Upper Parking Lot of the Rupert Square Shopping Centre.

At approximately 2 PM on November 2nd a male entered a tax cab near the entrance at the Wal-Mart end of the Mall and then asked a young girl standing nearby if she wanted to go for a ride.

The girl did not get into the taxi, instead going into the Mall. At that same time the male then exited the taxi and proceeded up the pathway that runs between the Mall and the Chevron station, heading towards 2nd Avenue West.

The suspect is described as Caucasian, standing five foot ten inches with a stubble beard. He was last seen wearing a brown jacket with a Boston Bruin's baseball cap.

As well as seeking the suspect in the case, the RCMP are also looking to locate the 7 year old girl, who has long brown hair and was wearing a pink sweater at the time of the Wednesday incident.
