Rampage look to remain on a winning track with Terrace back in town this weekend

The Prince Rupert Rampage will be looking to keep to some winning ways this weekend, as they face off against the Terrace River Kings Saturday night at the Jim Ciccone Civic Centre.

The Rhinos are coming off a strong effort in Kitimat last weekend where they handed the still winless Ice Demons their seventh straight loss of the year, with Prince Rupert dominating much of the play on the way to a 7-4 victory.

Last Saturdays game provided for a scoring burst from Jared Meers and Craig Munro who both netted four goals on the night, while Cole Atchison, Mike Coolin and Jared Davis accounted for the remainder of the markers for the Rampage.

The trip into Kitmat was also an impressive one for Braydon Horcoff who picked up three helpers on the night with Marcus Atchison close behind with two assists. The game a testy affair which featured a string of fighting majors and misconducts in a particularly heated second period.

Socking away a few wins is important  for the Rampage as November moves forward, next week the Prince Rupert squad will head out on the road for the always challenging Cariboo road trip.

A Weekend trek that features a game in Williams Lake on Saturday night and an afternoon contest in Quesnel on Sunday afternoon.

The annual journey into the Central Interior makes for a portion of the schedule which in years past that has made for a bit of a death valley experience for the team. As well as something which has had strong impact on how the remainder of the season would play out.

That may not be the case this time around however, as the Rhinos have shown a strong ability to bounce back from setbacks, making for an admirable Rampage trait as they head into week seven of their 2016-17 season.

But before they pack their long underwear and lay in the required provisions for the bus, they need to settle things up with the River Kings who came into town and took two points out of the Jim on October 15th thanks to a 6-3 road victory.

The highly anticipated Terrace/Rupert rematch is set for a 7 PM puck drop Saturday night.
