Blog Watching: Week ending October 3, 2021

Our most read story of the week, reflected some of the concerns that the Province of British Columbia has raised over the impact of COVID in Northern British Columbia and particularly in the need for a re-dedication towards vaccination.

Our review Wednesday of the most recent data release from the BC CDC provided for the clear picture of where the COVID challenges are being found in the North of late, the item leading off our list of five of the most read articles for the week.

Community Health Care received some strong attention this week as well, with word that two local physicians will be leaving Prince Rupert at the end of October for Vancouver Island, sending local patients off on the hunt for a new family doctor.

Travel by air and sea also claimed some attention this week, with a strong audience for both our look at some travel themes of note from Air Canada, as well as the transit of the Royal Canadian Navy's newest patrol ship through local waters this past week.

And Thursday brought us to the first ever National Day for Truth and Reconciliation,  a day which politicians urged us to reflect on our past and commit towards addressing the issues of the nation's past with residential schools and areas for reconciliation in the future, locally a theme that has been relayed quite well by School District 52.

However, the top item of interest for the week puts the focus back on the virus that won't go away, and the latest challenges from COVID-19.
