Celebration of Life for Patty Forman scheduled for January 14th at the Lester Centre

Prince Rupert's Lester Centre will host a Celebration of Life
for Patty Forman on January 14th

The civic space for music and culture in town that was a second home for Patty Forman, will serve as the venue for a Celebration of Life for the Prince Rupert mother and popular singer/musician.  

The Lester Centre of the Arts will take on the duties as the gathering spot for a final farewell for family and friends on Saturday, January 14th. 

With a large gathering anticipated to share memories of Ms. Forman whose life was tragically taken in the violent events of November 21st at the Ocean Centre in downtown Prince Rupert.

A Social Media Post has been relayed through many community  feeds over the last day to outline the plans for 2 PM Celebration of Life for the middle of January.

The Lester Centre, a place that Ms. Forman spent many days and nights in local performances at, paid its own visual tribute back in November. 

The projection of a graphic on the outer wall facing McBride Street one that generated much attention, a gesture of sympathy and community support that resonated across the city and beyond.

The gathering on January 14th will likely recount many of those moments of joy on stage and allow her friends, family and fellow musicians, singers and actors on the community to provide their own snapshots of a life taken far too soon.
