BC Ferries has travel reminder for those heading to the Junior ANBT on Vancouver Island this Friday


Travellers from the North will be heading south later this week, as the participants in the Junior All Native Basketball Tournament begin to make their way to the territory of the Snuneymuxw First Nation and Five Days of Tournament play in Nanaimo.

Towards their travels, BC Ferries has provided for a Service Notice advising of anticipated heavy volumes on sailings out of Haida Gwaii and Prince Rupert on Friday the 17th on the way to Port Hardy.

As well, the same is anticipated  for the return trip North coming up on Saturday, March 25.

The tournament features a number of youth teams from the Northwest, Prince Rupert, Haida Gwaii and the Central Coast making their way to Nanaimo to join competitors from all over the province at the popular event.

In total over ninety teams will be on Vancouver Island for the Competition which starts on March 24th.

The tournament features both 13 and Under Girls and Boys, as well as competitors in the 17 and Under Girls and Boys Division.

Games are scheduled for six gymnasiums across the city of Nanaimo.
