With hopes of building on 2022 and Global Ports Holding in place for the Northland Cruise Terminal the prospect of some 80,000 cruise visitors is on the horizon for Prince Rupert in 2023.
With 53 scheduled port calls by cruise lines already confirmed for Prince Rupert this season, (up ten from last year) Tourism Prince Rupert is ramping up their planning for the Cruise Ambassador Program, issuing a Call for Volunteers on Wednesday.
Towards what Tourism Prince Rupert is looking for when it comes to Cruise Ambassadors the focus is on good communication skills and knowledge what Prince Rupert has to offer visitors coming ashore.
To help spur on some interest in volunteering Tourism Prince Rupert notes that this year they will be giving away monthly prizes to volunteers based on participation and a GRAND PRIZE to be won at the end of the season.
To find out more about what the program is all about and to sign up for the 2023 season see their information page here.
The first vessel to call on Prince Rupert will be the Carnival Miracle set for an 8AM arrival on May 3rd, the final visit for 2023 comes on the 23rd of October when the Seabourn Odyssey makes a late season call.
