They've been serving Prince Rupert for 83 years, points on Haida Gwaii and in Terrace for a few year less than that, but all of the Branches for Northern Savings will be celebrating today.
The financial services institution which is based in Prince Rupert has invited its members to drop in for the festivities today as they mark their 83rd year.
Founded in 1940 the institution has been part of the fabric of Prince Rupert through the boom times and the lean years, the lineups of customers outside the Third Avenue West on a payday during the heyday of the fishery in town a memorable part of its past.
Since then the face of industry has change in Prince Rupert, but the trust residents have put into the institution never has waned.
From mortgages to savings and financial guidance, Norther Savings and its predecessors have been one of the key element of the city's financial and commercial sector for all those 83 years.
Northern Savings is known widely for their support of community initiatives and sponsorship of events and camps for youth in Prince Rupert and across the northwest and on Haida Gwaii
Today's events in all four branches offer a thanks to the members.
In Prince Rupert, the day is marked by a Member appreciation hot dog BBQ lunch from 11:30 to 1PM
