************************** Original story**************************************
A light to moderate earthquake reminded residents of Haida Gwaii that they live close to a fault line late Saturday night as a 3.8 temblor was recorded just 50 km South of Daajing Giids.
Noted by Earthquakes Canada 11:30 PM it had a depth of 10 kilometres
The seismic shudder was not enough to cause much in the way of any damage, but was reported by residents as lightly felt in Daajing Giids, Skidegate and Port Clements to name a few.
On Sunday morning, a slightly stronger quake was reported just west of Vancouver Island, with a 4.4 magnitude quake recorded 268 km Southwest of Port McNeill at 8:30 AM
It more than likely was not even noticed on the Island.
That temblor was in an area that has seen frequent similar sized events in recent months.
