City of Prince Rupert's latest career opportunity is all about the Systems ... Computer and Information systems

Keeping the civic computer systems up and operating is the focus for the latest Career Opportunity for the City of Prince Rupert, with a Job posting making its way to the city's listings on Friday for a System Analyst.

The position on which provides technical expertise, leadership, and project coordination services to support and maintain the continuity of the organization's computer systems and networks. 

The successful applicant will possess knowledge of developments, trends, and best practices in technology and business networks. 

They will also provide training and guidance to other IT support staff. In addition, their duties include providing client support to City Council and staff and basic training to staff on new software, security, and City systems. 

As part of their work, the post is also tasked in assisting with the delivery of media and broadcast support for the City; therefore, they must be willing to work evenings, some weekends, and attend bi-weekly Council meetings. 

Work will also involve multiple work settings within the community, including the Prince Rupert RCMP detachment.
