Prince Rupert area Salvation Army Christmas Appeal underway for 2023

The Salvation Army in Prince Rupert is in the early days of their
Annual Christmas Appeal

Over the last few days, the annual Holiday period  correspondence from the local Salvation Army in Prince Rupert has arrived in local mailboxes.

The letter from the local  Salvation Army outlining the nature of their many areas of work, as well as a reminder  of the need for those less fortunate that are in our community this Christmas season.

As has been the case over many years, the Salvation Army had a good head start on their efforts this year thanks to Prince Rupert's Harley Riders and their annual run in the fall

.

They also benefit from the combined forces of the Prince Rupert Port Authority and the Prince Rupert Rupert Rampage hockey team,  who help with raising funds through the CIHL hockey season.

Those heading out  on their Christmas Shopping errands have likely seen a familiar sight starting to pop up around the city.

The annual  Salvation Army Kettle Campaign has been rolling out in recent days, offering residents a chance to lend a hand that way as well.

Those who can help out with the call for volunteers can do so with a call or text the Salvation Army at 778-884-1752
