Prince Rupert RCMP set December 9th for Cram-a-Cruiser event

Prince Rupert's Canada Safeway will be the host venue December 9 for
the 2023 Prince Rupert Cram-a-Cruiser event in aid of the Salvation Army

The Prince Rupert RCMP and Salvation Army are teaming up once again to help make the Holiday period a bit more festive for those in the community in need.

Saturday December 9th is the date for the Annual Cram-a-Cruiser day with the members of the Prince Rupert detachment to be on hand at the Canada Safeway parking lot to accept your donations for the Christmas 2023 campaign.

In partnership with the Salvation Army and Safeway the Prince Rupert RCMP will be hosting it's annual edition of Cram-a-Cruiser. All donations will be given to the Salvation Army to be distributed to people in need in the community.

Non-perishable food items and toys will be collected. Please make sure that food donations are not expired and toys are either in new or in good condition if used.

The Salvation Army has expressed a specific need for toys for younger children this year.

"We have had great success with this event the past couple of years and we are so excited to see everyone's generosity shine again this year. Small contributions can make a big difference in someone's life. This year we will once again have the Salvation Army's Christmas Kettle on site to collect any cash donations." -- Media Relations Officer Cst. Brody Hemrich

The December 9th event goes ahead from 10 AM to 3 PM whatever weather Mother Nature may want to toss their way.
