A big Job ... needs A Big Rig and in this instance a Closed Road

Travel has been closed through the day today  on Fifth Street
between Second and Third Avenue West, that as work takes place
at the Prince Rupert Cinema's building

Some work taking place in the downtown core is making for somewhat of a conversation piece today, as passersby along Second Avenue West, stop and watch work underway to lift heavy material up to the roof the Prince Rupert Cinemas.

The work for the crane operator a bit more challenging than usual today, owing to some occasional gusts of wind as an approaching Pacific front announces its pending arrival to the North Coast.

Towards the work, the City of Prince Rupert announced the closure of Fifth Street between Second Ave West and Third Ave West, relaying the details through an advisory on Thursday through the City's Mobile App program.

Flag Personnel are also on the scene at both intersections to keep motorists and pedestrians safe as the work continues.
