That's about to change however, with a Pacific front making its way to the North Coast for this evening, with Environment Canada announcing its pending arrival with a WIND WARNING.
A vigorous frontal system is approaching Haida Gwaii today. Winds will strengthen throughout the day, reaching 90 km/h with gusts to 110 km/h this afternoon over exposed coastal sections. These winds will continue through the night and then ease Monday morning.

The Wind is the lead for an extensive period of precipitation ahead overnight with up to 40mm of rain anticipated through to Monday.
