Snowfall Warning issued for Prince Rupert/North Coast

Wherever you go in Northwest BC there's a weather warning
to be aware of, with Snow the topic of note for Prince Rupert today and tomorrow

The good news is the arctic temperatures are retreating (the Arctic outflow warning was lifted yesterday) making for more seasonal times ahead, but to get there, we'll need our snow shovels and snow boots for later today and Tuesday.

Environment Canada has issued a SNOWFALL WARNING for the Prince Rupert area and the North Coast; with 10 centimetres of snow to come, the snow to start late this afternoon and continue overnight into Tuesday, ending near the noon hour.

The traditional Prince Rupert solution of waiting for the rain to remove your snow, won't quite work out for us this time around, with temperatures still hovering around the Zero or -1 mark through to Saturday.

To complicate things a bit, we may even see more snow come Thursday and Friday before the more familiar weather of rain arrives on the weekend.

For those travelling inland, Terrace and Smithers are still in the midst of the Arctic Outflow Warning, with just 7 cm of snow anticipated from this system.

However, Thursday through Sunday inland could see more snow totals accumulate for points inland.
