Rampage look for first win of second half of season tomorrow as Kitimat comes to town

The Prince Rupert Rampage will look to get 2024 off on the right skate tomorrow night at the Jim Ciccone Civic centre, that following last week's home and home losses to their West Division rivals in Terrace.

The series last weekend a costly one for the Rhino's, bumping them out of First place for now in the CIHL, the outcome for the Saturday content one that could see them moving back up the table by the end of play tomorrow night.

The Ice Demons were last in town on December 22nd, taking part in the Rampage Charity game that launched their Rampage fights cancer campaign for this season; though the spirit of play may be less charitable tomorrow night.

That as the Kitimat side comes to town looking to steal two points out of the Jim and reverse their fortunes in the division of late.

Prince Rupert may have a slight advantage come puck drop tomorrow night at 7:00 though, that with the Ice Demons coming of their own double play weekend, the first game of which takes place tonight in Kitimat against the River Kings.

This weekend also will be an important one for to Rampage members in the midst of the CIHL Scoring race this season,  Judd Repole is just six points of the pace of the league leading Tanner Wort in Hazelton.

While Hunter Johnson and Tyler Ostrom have both made some gains in recent weeks percolating just under the 10 spot in the Scoring listings.

As they just before each home game, the Rampage tapped another young talent from the PRMHA for Game Day, with Kian Peterson from the U9 Grey squad set for duty at the rink on Saturday night.

While the Rampage look to ramp up their game on the ice on Saturday, the fundraising for the Rampage Fight Cancer campaign continues forward at an impressive pace, with a number of local businesses and individuals putting up some large donations to aid the cause.
