Arts Council sets June 22nd for Annual General Meeting

Prince Rupert's artistic community will be getting together next week to review the year in Arts and set the course for the next twelve months as the Prince Rupert Arts Council hosts its Annual General Meeting on Wednesday, June 22.

The 7 PM gathering is set at an appropriate location, with the Ice House Gallery at the Atlin Terminal serving as the host venue for the evening, the gallery one of a number of locations in the city where the talents of the North Coast arts scene can be found on display.

Members of the Arts council can renew their membership at the AGM and new members are welcome to attend as well to learn more about the work of the Arts Council and put a face to some of the artists in the community.

Membership fees are set at five dollars for individuals and ten dollars for groups.

The Prince Rupert Arts Council was created as a not-for-profit group in 1971 and since that time has been active in developing the arts and culture scene in the region.

The volunteer group organizes a range of events through the year including Arts and Culture week at the end of April each year, Kaien Fusion and the popular Kaien Island Craft Fair to name a few.

You can learn more about the work of the Arts Council from their website.
