Another popular Spring Sports activity for youth is looking for returning members and new participants as Prince Rupert Minor Softball continues with its registration period through the month of March.
Featuring a range of divisions the spring league makes use of all of the Prince Rupert fields across the city, offering both a T Ball program for Under 8 year olds, all the way up to Midget for Under 16 year olds.
As they move forward with their plans and become more established the local association is considering plans to become more involved in regional tournaments in nearby communities across the Northwest, they are also currently working on plans towards hosting their own tournament in Prince Rupert this May.
Coming up in April is an Umpiring Clinic, offering a chance for those interested to learn more about the game, help contribute to the growth of the league and earn a little extra money. It takes place on April 9th.
The Prince Rupert Minor Softball Association will have a table set up at Saturday's Children's Festival at the Civic Centre, you can have your youngster test out the T-ball set up, while you discover more of what they have to offer
