Winter will keep on coming this week |
Keep the shovel handy, Environment Canada has an update for you and it involves more in the way of snow for the North Coast.
A Special Weather Statement was issued by Environment Canada at 5 AM today, and while they might have missed a few of the snow surprises of the last week, this time around they plan on being ahead of the approaching weather system.
While we may see some scattered flurries through the day, tonight brings the arrival of a low pressure system towards Haida Gwaii that will bring precipitation to the North Coast for the overnight period and into Tuesday,
With the Weather Office calling for up to 4 cm of snow expected tonight and the potential for another 4 centimetres for Tuesday.
Snow or rain is also part of the forecast into Wednesday, with similar conditions to be found later as we head into the weekend as well.
The Weather Statement, may be upgraded to a Warning later in the day. (click to enlarge)
