Week one of night work on BC Ferries Fairview trestle underway

Trestle replacement work is now
underway at BC Ferries Fairview Terminal
West side residents may hear a few bumps and bangs in the night overnight this week and for a few more weeks into the winter, as BC Ferries continues on with their Trestle replacement program at the Fairview Terminal.

As we outlined on the blog in September, the Prince Rupert Terminal is hosting some significant infrastructure upgrades this year with work on the Dauphins taking place through the fall.

The Trestle replacement program, part of a 12 million dollar project underway at Fairview is planned for five phases, the first of which started on Sunday and will continue through until October 20th.

The remaining four phases will be spread out through the fall and into the winter, with the anticipated completion date December 15th.

The Overnight work will start at 10 PM and continue until 6AM during that period, the full schedule for Night Work can be reviewed below.

As a result of the construction work, the BC Ferries schedule has been adjusted through to December 14th, you can access updated information on sailing information and other notices related to service from the BC Ferries Service Notices page.

The Fall/Winter Schedules can be reviewed below:
