The acclaimed farce by American Playwright Neil Simon will be brought to life on the Lester stage by Co-Directors Hans Seidemann and Michael Gurney, both are veteran members of the city's theatrical community and are looking forward to bringing out the best of a talented ensemble set to tackle the witty work of Simon for Prince Rupert audiences.
Ten performers showcased their acting skills in audition , with the roster for the Rumours playbill set to include: Chris Armstrong, Tristan Higginson, Rich Jerstad, Paula Loroff, Heather MacRae, Aurora Martin, Will Matheson, Krysta Ostrom. Tyler Portelance and Jacqueline Taylor.
The performance run of Rumours will be stage managed by Scott Langille.
Michael Gurney, who in addition to directing duties, doubles as the General Manager of the Lester Centre outlined some of the anticipation that the cast and crew are bringing towards this years production.
"Since major community musicals are presented by the Lester Centre every two years—most recently Spamalot in 2018—, this year provided an opportunity for a similarly-ambitious theatrical production," ... "Neil Simon's romp Rumors will be the result of vigorous collaboration by Prince Rupert performers and crew members bent on sharing three unforgettable nights of side-splitting entertainment."
Tickets are now on sale for the March performances, with three levels of admission:
Adults 25 dollars, Seniors 15 and Students 10. Show time each evening will be 7:30 PM.
Tickets are available at both Cook's Jewellers and the Lester Centre of the Arts Box Office.
