Senior Girls find success in final day, after hard fought tournament play in Vancouver

The CHSS Senior  Rainmaker Girls took on some high level competition
this weekend in Vancouver, a tourney that serves well for preparation for
the Northwest Zones later this month

This weekend was a travel weekend for the Senior Girls Rainmakers, as the team took to the court in the Lower Mainland with four hard fought battles making for a chance to take on some top tier competition.

Coach Anna Ashley's girls had some high performance match ups along the way with some very close results that could have found them moving through the schedule, withe games against York House and Mulgrave among some of the tests of the weekend.

They claimed a key victory in their final match up of the tourney with  52 to 38 victory over Kitsilano to bring their journey to the Vancouver area to an end.

Former CHSS teacher Brian Cameron took in some of the action and forwarded a number of photos to share with the Rainmaker fan base below:

The Senior Girls continue their play through February as they head for the Northwest Zones, with the Rainmakers looking to punch their ticket to Langley for the Provincials later this month.

You can keep up with the schedule ahead for the Charles Hays Seniors through the CHSS twitter feed.
