Six vehicle owners in the Prince Rupert area may want to check to see if their vehicles are where the left them, with the City set to demolish the half dozen abandoned vehicles within a few weeks.
The City advisory notes that registered owners have until May 20th to contact the City; with those making contact ready to provide proof of ownership; as well as to provide for payment of all outstanding charges and storage fees.
Should the vehicles go unclaimed by the 20th of May, the city has plans to dispose of them.

Removing derelict vehicles from city streets and other areas of the community has been a theme that Prince Rupert City Council has vowed to take action on in recent years.
It comes with a renewed focus by City Council towards cleaning up the city, particularly the City's downtown core area.
