With an expired contract, UFAWU-Unifor seeks some feedback from workers towards contract negotiations

With a labour deal that expired on April 15th, the union which represents Shoreworkers in Prince Rupert and up and down the British Columbia coast is seeking some feedback from the membership towards what is key for the negotiations ahead.

The survey which is found through the UFAWU-Unifor Facebook page feature three key categories:

Wages, Benefits and Working Conditions, with a range of questions to be reviewed and space for areas of note that members would like to see changes be made.

One additional category asks if workers would be willing to do all production work after they are vaccinated for COVID 19, again with a range of processing plant occupations listed.

The survey wraps up with a call for members to join the Negotiating committee.

You can take the survey here.

Members also an opportunity to respond to mail in survey earlier.

There's no indication yet when the labour negotiations are expected to get underway.
