Skeena-Bulkley Valley MP Taylor Bachrach is in the home stretch of raising. awareness for his private members bill initiative to reduce the voting age to sixteen for Federal elections.
With the MP making a push this week to spur on supporters of his bill to sign a petition to reach the 500 signature threshold to be tabled in the House of Commons.
The deadline to reach that mark is June 20th.
In a twitter message the MP highlighted the work ahead towards having his bill work its way through the House of Commons .
"It's going to be up for its own vote in the House of Commons on September 21st so we have just a few months to build momentum and convince as many members of Parliament as possible to support my bill.
So one of the things that you can do if you want to help is you can sign the petition ... Please sign the petition we have only five more days to get 500 signatures, we're almost there it's going to make a real difference, thanks so much for all your support"
