Prince Rupert Fire/Rescue welcome new member aboard at the First Avenue West Fire Hall

The Prince Rupert Fire/Rescue Department's rolling replacement program for retiring members is continuing on at a steady pace.

With the PRFD announcing their latest member to make it through the probationary period and take on duties with the Fire Department.

Last week, the Fire Hall on First West welcomed Braxon Parks to the roster of fire fighters in the city.

The announcement which was released through the PRFD Social Media page has seen some messages of welcome from community members since it was posted last Friday.

Since the start of 2023 the PRFD has also welcomed Sikander Ahmad, Jonathan Laidlaw and Marcus Jardim to the Department.

As we noted last month, in a report for City Council at the February 22nd Council session, the new arrivals have been receiving training as they move through the application to probationary period.

The list of Welcome aboard notices is set to continue, the PRFD just concluded its most recent call for applicants in February.
