All that remains of the debris field of the Rose's building is one solitary wall following demolition work this week |
The City of Prince Rupert's Corporate Administrator is pretty close to delivering on her Christmas present for Third Avenue, with work on the debris field at the Rose's location in the final Stages.
As we noted this week, the topic of the site came up at Monday's City Council session towards the end of the evening at which time, Rosa Miller in response to a question from Councillor Teri Forster had indicated that the work orders were ready to be processed and the contractors to be contacted to effect the rubble removal.
It's quite the difference a week can make, the Rose's site as it was last week above, is now all but cleared of debris |
And for those passing by the 700 block area of Third Avenue West the work has been impressive with only one wall still standing from the debris field that had marked the site for more than a year.
With the Rose's project looking to be near a close, the next focus for the city and its remediation work on downtown eyesores could be the Angus Apartments, which Ms. Miller noted on Monday was on their hopeful to do list.
