With the start of September, the Prince Rupert Rampage will ramp up their training camp efforts as they look to make ready for the launch of the 2015-16 CIHL season on October 3rd.
Sixteen games mark the Regular season run up to another hopeful quest for a Coy Cup Championship for the North coast squad, with October perhaps the most challenging month of the entire schedule with six of the sixteen games crammed into the first four weeks of the season.
November offers up less of a load from the schedule maker, but no shortage of hard slogging as the Rampage make the tiring trek into the Cariboo for games in Williams Lake and Quesnel at the end of that month, a road trip that always puts visiting squads to the test.
As it was last year, the midway point of the Rampage schedule could provide some indication as to how the local squad hopes to fare as far as placement in the western division goes, with half of their games out of the way by the end of November.
December gives the Rampage an opportunity to recharge and make use of their home crowd advantage, with the entire month giving way to three home dates until the CIHL's Christmas break.
In January, the road pace picks up once again with three of four of the final games of the regular season finding the Rampage travelling eastbound down highway 16.
The season launches with the always tough and ready to go Cariboo squads making the lengthy trek to the North Coast. With the Williams Lake Stampeders here on October 3rd, followed by the Quesnel Kangaroos on October 4th, that game making for the only afternoon match up of the season at the Jim.
The Regular season wraps for the Rampage on January 17th, as Prince Rupert finishes off a two game weekend in Smithers.
And while all of the CIHL's teams make the playoffs for the 2015-16 season, where they can be
found in the standings on January 18th will tell the tale for any home playoff dates later into the month for the home town Rampage.
