Guadagni and the Mariners hold 4-2 record heading to CCBA Christmas break

court this CCBA season

The start of the Canadian College Basketball Association season has been a productive one for the Vancouver Island Mariner squad and former Charles Hays Rainmaker Celina Guadagni has been in the thick of the action through the first two months of play.

The Mariners currently hold down a 4 and 2 record in the PacWest division of the CCAA, thanks to a three game winning streak heading into Christmas with the Prince Rupert athlete has been picking up some long stretches on the court in the teams first six games.

Since our review of Ms. Guadagni's opening night, where she found a fair bit of success her box scores have continued to showcase how the Mariner's coaching staff have come to rely on the veteran.

Her playing time and point totals to the Christmas break look as follows:

The Mariners will be back in action later this month as they host a Holiday Christmas Tournament at the Nanaimo campus with Langara, SAIT and Camosun heading to the Hub City for the showdown.

The schedule looks as follows:

December 28
Langara vs VIU 3 PM
SAIT vs Camosun 5 PM

December 29 
VIU vs Camosun 1 PM
SAIT vs Langara 3 PM

December 30
Camosun vs Langara 10 AM
VIU vs SAIT 12 Noon

When they head back into their regular schedule on January 6th the Mariners will be looking to chase down division leading Capilano currently the top team in the PacWest with a 6-0 record.
