The signs of the holidays are starting to pop up around the city, tonight brings the official launch for the North Coast for the Christmas period with the annual Winterfest celebrations at the Court House and the full day of events planned for Saturday.
Invitations to social events through the month are starting to appear as well, the CBC Daybreak North team started off the month of Open Houses with their event this morning at Java.dot.cup, the popular gathering marking the first of a busy social calendar for those that like to drop in over the holidays.
As the month of celebrations gets underway, notices have already been offered by the Chamber of Commerce and area politicians making note of their upcoming social events through December, with many more surely to follow.
However, for a real sign that Christmas is indeed but a few short weeks away, you will need look further than the Tennis Courts at the corner of McBride and Sixth Avenue, where starting Saturday the Annual Rotary Club Christmas Tree Sale will be underway.
The Rotarians and their community minded helpers will be at the Tennis Courts from Saturday, December 3rd through until Sunday, December 18th, or until the supply of trees lasts.
