The latest of a number of mid range earthquakes was recorded off the coast of Vancouver Island on Saturday evening, a 4.8 temblor that was located 246 kilometres West of Tofino.
The quake was recorded at 7:47 PM, it had a depth of 10 miles.
There was no indication of any damage or if was noticed relayed from the West coast of Vancouver Island.
The area along the Pacific fault line that runs parallel Vancouver Island and leads north to Haida Gwai has been fairly active in recent months, with similar sized earthquakes noted.
