Homelessness Partnership seeking organizations to join in on funding opportunities

Two local organizations that are looking to address Prince Rupert's homeless situation are looking for some partners to take advantage of some recent Federal Funding for local initiatives.

The Prince Rupert Aboriginal Community Services Society and Prince Rupert Steering Committee on Aboriginal Homelessness are seeking the participation of local organizations as part of a Homelessness Partnering Funding opportunity for Prince Rupert.

The Government of Canada has made available a financial investment of $215,285 to be directed towards projects that reduce and prevent Aboriginal homelessness in the community.

The local groups are offering the opportunity for local organizations to step up and help out when it comes to improving the quality of life for those that are homeless or in imminent risk of being homeless.

Those interested in participating in the initiative should contact Derry Bott for more information, you can call the PRACSS office at 250-622-2981 or reach them through email at pracss6@citywest.ca

The deadline for applications for this round of funding comes up at 4 PM on March 3, 2017.
