CityWest introduces Quantum 250 service to eight Northwest communities
When it comes to surfing the Internet, playing games or streaming videos speed is the thing and CityWest is set to answer the call for more speed in a number of Northwest communities, introducing their Quantum 250 service first to Bulkley Valley region and a few other rural destinations of the area.
Yesterday, the installation map featured the Hazeltons, Smithers, Telkwa, Jackpine, Gossen, Kleanza and Usk.
The price point for the introduction in the interior portion of the Northwest is 90 dollars per month, with a reduced rate available as part of a bundled package with CtiyWest.
CityWest further outlined Wednesday, that the remainder of their service area, including Prince Rupert, Terrace and Kitimat will see the new Internet feature introduced in the next few months.
CityWest CEO Chris Marett outlined what the new service will mean to customers and how the roll out across the Northwest will move forward.
“After hearing our customer tell us that they needed faster Internet with better upload capabilities, we started developing the product in late-2017, and got it out the door as soon as we could,” ...“This new Internet product will enhance the already-amazing experience our customers get from our employees.”
“Our technicians have been hard at work upgrading our plant in all our communities to ensure our customers get the best experience when they buy Quantum 250,” ...“We want to make sure our network is solid before releasing it to all our markets.”
The new produce will feature download speeds of 250 Mbps and upload speeds of 20Mbps, if also comes with no monthly data caps, which will let customers take to the Internet without any worries about potential surprise expenses.

The communication company which is owned by the City of Prince Rupert also hinted at more news to come, with a few more products under consideration by CityWest for introduction to the Northwest market.
