Everyone back in the pool ... Earl Mah Aquatic Centre reopens August 8th
With work completed early on the annual maintenance shutdown at the Earl Mah Aquatic Centre, the City of Prince Rupert Recreation Department is re-opening the city's aquatic showcase next week, with Thursday, August 8th at Noon set for its return to service.
The Shutdown which started in mid July was not as extensive as in previous years, though one project which was on the to-do list was to see a change in the disinfection system that is in use at the Aquatic Centre.
The first few days for the Pool will see a shorter schedule for use, with times as follows:
August 8 -- Noon to 8PM
August 9 -- 6:30 AM to 8:30 PM
August 10 -- 1 PM to 8 PM
August 11 -- Return to regular hours of operation
The AquaFit program will restart on August 12th
Updates on Recreation Centre programs can be found from their Facebook Page, while a wider overview of programs available at the Earl Mah Aquatic Centre can be reviewed online from the June-August Active Living Guide.
The Fall Recreation guide was recently delivered to homes across Prince Rupert, but has yet to be added to the online access point on the Recreation Department website.
