What east side residents had no doubt originally hoped would be a quick fix, appears to be turning into a bit of a major project. With the City of Prince Rupert back to work on water line issues and restricting traffic in the eastbound lane of 11th Avenue East.
The project which was first noted by the City last Tuesday, has now entered its second week and with that flag personnel have returned to the scene to re-direct the east bound travellers around the work site.
Over the weekend, the road was opened to two way traffic which allowed for a quick drive by glimpse of the work going on.
The latest update makes note of water shut offs that were to take place today and the areas that are affected but so far, no timeline as to when the work will be complete is provided
The 11th Avenue East waterline work is just the latest in water woes that the city has had to deal with in recent weeks, you can explore more of the city's ongoing infrastructure work from our archive page here.
