Dinners' On at the Moose. As the Prince Rupert Lions Club prepare for their Annual Seniors Thanksgiving Dinner October 14th |
In what has become a tradition for the community service club, the Prince Rupert Lions Club will be serving up a Thanksgiving Dinner for Seniors and Elders in the city, with the Moose Hall set to be the Dining Hall for Thanksgiving Day Monday, October 14th luncheon.
The popular event will start at Noon hour on the 14th and offers up some of the traditional fare for a Canadian Thanksgiving, with the Lions' putting their all into making the day a special one for the Seniors.
In addition to the banquet for the City's most valuable residents, the Lions have called in some entertainment for the day, with Nancy and Ted set to make for the luncheon mood with some musical memories for those in attendance.
Past years have seen the Lions get a bit of help from others in the community, with helpers such as the Charles Hays Basketball program having stopped buy to work as servers at previous events.

The Seniors Thanksgiving Luncheon is just one of a number of activities that the community minded organization takes on during the year.
The Lions Club meets on the first and third Thursday of every month at 716 Fraser Street in the Rupert Business Centre Boardroom.
