City delivers Snow and Ice removal reminder for residents

Heave Ho . ho, ho ... The City of Prince Rupert
wants residents and business owners to do their
part as the snow falls in the city today

Along with the arrival of winter weather, so too has come a reminder from the City of Prince Rupert when it comes to the responsibilities of residents and business owners for their own snow removal requirements.

In a notice to the public posted to the City website on Wednesday, as well as through the City Facebook page, City Hall has outlined what you need to know when it comes to doing your part, including a suggestion that we become Snow Angels to help out neighbours when it comes to snow shovelling.

The City Website also outlines a range of notes from the City's Snow and Ice Policy.

More items of note related to the city's policies on Snow removal can be reviewed from the City of Prince Rupert notice from Wednesday.

Further notes from Prince Rupert City Hall can be explored here.

A wider overview of the current weather system approaching the Northwest can be found from our Weather archive page.

  1. I had a look downtown this morning. I don’t think their reminders are working.
Why bother when it hasn’t been enforced for years. Council expressed concern a couple of years ago. All agreed something had to be done.

Well 2 years ago when concern was expressed a plan should of been developed for the next occurrence. Well it is time to put the plan into practice. Somehow I don’t think they made a plan.
