Prince Rupert Golf Club fills out its Executive and Committee Scorecard for 2020

It's not quite time to hit the links just yet, but the Prince Rupert Golf Club
did take care of some business over the weekend. That as  members
filled a range
of duties and positions for the city's golf course

While Frozen Fairways and Snow swept Greens may have taken your eye off the ball for the golf season for a few days this month, the members of the Prince Rupert Golf Club were still on task, with the Club hosting it's Annual General Meeting yesterday at the Crest Hotel.

The move to the BC Room of the hotel required after the cold snap made for some difficulties for the plumbing at the Ninth Avenue West facility, requiring the services of some plumbers, though fortuitously the Club happens to know a few in the trade who could take to reviewing the repair list.

So after rescheduling the AGM to the spartan accommodation of the Crest, the membership set forward to deliver the PRGC Executive and Committee membership for the 2020 season.

Among the three members of the Executive for the year will be:

President -- Iain Cullen
Vice President -- Layne Young
Treasurer -- Ross McNish

The Six members of the Directors Board include:

Carole Schaeffer
Richard Wright
Bart Kuntz
Gerard Dolan
Ian Robinson
Bob McMeekin

The Golf Club also filled positions for Six Committees:

Outside Liaison
Bart Kuntz, Richard Wright, Layne Young, Ron Miller

Communication
Doug Kydd

Clubhouse Liaison
Janet Dantas

Repair/Maintenance
Don Holketstad/Dave Tough

Pro Shop Maintenance
Ross McNish/Iain Cullen

Club Captains
Janet Sheppard, Dylan Lawrence

In News from the Golf Club for January, the challenges of the winter months and our unusually cold period of Arctic Air and snowfall has provided for some troubles for the facility as we mentioned previously.

As well, the less than pleasant weather has served to slow the pace of course maintenance for the month.
