With a Storm Warning in place for Hecate Strait, BC Ferries has announced a schedule revision for the Northern Expedition which will see the vessel depart Skidegate at 8AM rather than the scheduled 10 AM departure.
The ferry is still set for a 10 PM departure for Haida Gwaii this evening.
Environment Canada is calling for seas of 3 to 5 metres by Tuesday afternoon, with the revised sailing time for the return trip to Prince Rupert in place to avoid the worst of the weather.
