The Hunt for the Great Green Gumboot launches Sunday

The City of Prince Rupert Recreation Department has created the ultimate Prince Rupert Scavenger hunt for Spring Break, ready to send participants out on the Great Green Gumboot Hunt.

The event will run from Sunday, March 14th to Sunday, March 28th. and during that period the Recreation Department, will be providing the clues for participants to use to search for the hidden green gumboot at different sites around the community.

Clues will be announced on  Recreation Department Facebook Page at 10am on Sundays and Thursdays (March 14th, 18th, 21st, and 25th).

After that participants can head out, locate the boot, snap a photo, and place a pin on our interactive map as proof.

All pins will be entered into a draw to win Recreation Complex admissions.

The Interactive map can be found here.

And once participants start to place their pins, you can track the hunt for the Great Green Gumboot from the city's GIS map.

As we are still in the time of COVID, the competition does have some COVID safe guidelines to keep in mind as you travel the city seeking out the boot.

As you are out hunting, please be sure to keep a 2-meter distance from other individuals and families

Please do not touch the boot once you find it, but do take a photo as proof
