It was a weekend of shovelling and sledding ... but all fun things come to an end

The Prince Rupert Golf Course was one of the most popular
spots in town this weekend as families took advantage of the
winter weather to get in some sledding

With a pretty impressive dump of snow by Prince Rupert standards over the weekend, residents of the North Coast had plenty of opportunity to develop their snow shovelling form, while no doubt hoping that this was the only session left for the year.

However, any survey of area youngsters probably will indicate that they enjoyed the ample opportunity to find their favourite sledding hill to test out the Krazy Karpets, Flying saucers and sleds.

Others worked on their snow sculpturing skills, with many works of art still available for viewing, though on a time limited basis it would seem.

The Park across from the Hospital had a bit of reprieve
on Sunday, that after a full weekend of sledding on the west side

While the bright sun, crisp temperatures and bounty of snow was welcomed by outdoors enthusiasts, it will all come to an end by this evening, with our current flurries of snow set to give way to warmer temperatures and rain through the week.
