Mother Nature has delivered on Environment Canada's forecast for snow, with the start of what could be an evening of the fluffy precipitation getting its start in mid afternoon.

Earlier today, road conditions became challenging for those travelling between Prince Rupert and Terrace, with social media reports relaying some of the latest conditions, including a photo of an RCMP cruiser that had gone off the road near the Prudhomme Lake area.

With the start of the snow, Drive BC has issued a roads advisory, alerting travelling for the potential of a road closure this evening owing to avalanche dangers

The advisory notes that the closure could come as soon as 6 PM this evening.

Highway cameras along Highway 16 provide a glimpse of the conditions as of 3PM, though closer to Prince Rupert the Port Edward Turnoff camera currently is not working.
