Friday's snowfall for the most part washed away overnight, however Saturday brings a new day of weather alerts for the North Coast.
In the early hours, Environment Canada issued a Special Weather Statement, noting that a cold front approaching the North Coast would bring snowfall accumulations of up to 10 to 15 centimetres
At 9 AM, the Statement changed to a Snowfall Warning, with winds of up to 80 km/h expected to accompany the snowfall through the afternoon, it's anticipated that weather system and its snow will have passed by later this evening.
Rain or flurries marks the Sunday forecast followed by rain for much of the next week.
For travellers the weather could provide for some challenges along Highway 16 which was reopened to traffic around 9AM this morningfollowing its closure overnight related to avalanche risk.
