City of Prince Rupert issues weather advisory for community


While the strong winds have been part of the day's flow for much of Wednesday, the city of Prince Rupert made it official as far as a weather event at 4PM issuing  a Community Safety Bulletin.


The advisory noting of the need to secure loose items around residences and to be aware of personal safety while outside in the elements.

Earlier in the day, the City closed the Ridley Island Landfill site due to the strong winds of the day.




The City advises that more updates will follow if required through their Social Media Stream.

As we noted yesterday, the current wind event which features gusts of up to 110 km/h is anticipated to last into this evening before moving further inland, the rain that accompanies and follows it will continue through the week.
