Prince Rupert Fire/Rescue have provided an update on a recent call for service from earlier this week.

With PRFD officials  outlining some background to a daytime call to a structure on Second Avenue in the downtown core.

The call to the fire hall from November 16th brought the day shift fire crews to the response of a small electrical fire, the quick detection of the incident by the tenants of the building serving to bring action before any larger situation evolved.

As they arrived,  firefighters from the First Avenue West station quickly discovered the cause of the situation and through quick work contained any damage.

The update was delivered through the PRFD Facebook page.
