Prince Rupert's Kidsport program to benefit by upcoming fundraiser

The City of Prince Rupert, Rupert Rampage and Prince Rupert Port Authority are joining forces in aid of Kidsport with plans for A Giving for Goals Fundraiser in motion for December 11th, with proceeds to go to the KidSport program in the city.

The event is in support of the program which raises awareness and funds to ensure that more children in the region can participate in youth sport programs in the community.

As part of the program, KidSport Prince Rupert awards grants of up to $400 per child per year towards sports registration fees.

The December 11th event which takes place at the Jim Ciccone Civic Centre will feature a turkey dinner buffet and entry to that night's Prince Rupert Rampage game against the Terrace River Kings , as well as an opportunity to bid on a growing list of prizes for the Silent Auction.

The dinner portion of the night starts at 4:30 and will feature a special appearance by members of the Rampage hockey team.

You can learn more about the event here.

Tickets for the Giving for Goals night are listed at 50 dollars.

Updates on the December plans can be followed through the KidSport Social Media stream
