The Prince Rupert Fire/Rescue Department is sharing some photos this week of a recent training session at the Pembina Redwater facility in Alberta, with three member of the Prince Rupert department on hand to gain some additional knowledge when it comes to fighting industrial fires.

In September, PRFD Firefighters Fuzi, Green and Fodor made the trip to Redwater where Pembina officials hold regular training programs to offer up additional opportunities to build on the local training that is offered towards industrial fires.

Pembina operates the Liquid Propane Export Terminal on Watson Island and has also hosted the Prince Rupert and Port Edward departments on the site or at similar events across the region in the past for similar training session.

AltaGas has also shared in some of the local training as part of their footprint of operations on Ridley Island.
